Without Distraction

Are you single? Waiting on the "right" one to come along and sweep you off your feet? Are you getting inpatient?  Well a lot of us girls are. The key is to:
  •  BE PATIENT. It is hard to wait. Trust me I know. We as women are created by God to yearn for a husband and a family. We want it as soon as possible. But sometimes, God has other plans. He gives us this time to lean on Him and grow in Him everyday.
  • FOCUS ON HIM. We can have ONE focus while we are single and that should be God. In 1 Corinthians 7:34-35 says "There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that you may attend upon the Lord without distraction."  Ladies! Did you hear that? While we are single we can focus on the Lord WITHOUT distraction. That is something you cannot do while married. Yes, we are supposed to love the Lord just as much, but we can not focus just on God, we are supposed to focus on our husbands as well. How awesome. Just you and God. Grow in your relationship with Him. Find a good bible study and have fun with it.
  • HAVE FUN! Do something that you have always wanted to do but might be hard to do while married. For me, it was starting this blog. God gave us this time to focus on family and Him. Relish the moments you have with your family, because you know what? You will look back one day and wish you had more time with just them. When Prince Charming comes along no one else in the world will exist. Now is the time to spend time with your parents and siblings.
  • LEAVE THINGS IN GOD'S HANDS. You know? Gods got this. Are you afraid that it won't happen? That maybe God wants you to stay single? Or that He will return before you meet Prince Charming? Yes, yes we all have thought these thoughts. But no matter what, we have to leave it in His hands and have faith. Matthew 21:21 "Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the seas; it shall be done."
Ladies it is not your job to pursue a man. Sit back, relax, and just do you for a while. They say it will happen when you least expect it, and that is true. The right man will come along and then guess what?? No turning back. Hehe! The moment that you start taking matters out of God’s hands and into your own is the moment that things start going south.

Be PATIENT and WAIT. Focus on Him WITHOUT DISTRACTION!
